About the Firm Our client is a dynamic and client-focused law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Employment Law, Tax Law, Corporate Law and Bankruptcy.
Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bankruptcy Paralegal to join their growing legal team. This position plays a vital role in supporting their attorneys with Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 filings, client communication, and case management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and related documents
Communicate with clients to collect and verify financial information
Monitor case deadlines, hearings, and trustee meetings
Review court dockets and maintain case status updates
Coordinate with creditors, trustees, and court staff as needed
Draft correspondence, legal forms, spreadsheets and pleadings under attorney supervision
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of bankruptcy experience (Chapter 11 and/or 12 preferred)
Strong understanding of bankruptcy rules, procedures, and e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF)
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
Experience with Best Case software
