Business Litigation Paralegal
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Business Litigation Paralegal to join its Nashville, TN office. The role requires strong knowledge of all aspects of domestic relations, rules of evidence & trial procedure, and strong communication & database skills.
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of electronic discovery, including document reviews & productions (loading, coding, bates numbering, logging, & searching in Relativity).
Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, & trial; handle logistics, exhibits, and assist witnesses/experts.
Interact with IT personnel & vendors regarding document & discovery issues.
File & serve motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state & federal courts.
Set up, organize, & maintain files & internal case databases.
Organize discovery, research, pleadings, & other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation.
Prepare notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
Bluebook & cite checking.
Prepare & coordinate service of subpoenas.
Basic legal & internet research, including culling relevant information from a variety of resources.
Calendar and track case deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate preferred with three to five years related experience in a mid‑or large‑sized law firm.
Excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail & deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment with a client service focus.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize project requirements.
