Under the general direction of the Director of Facility Services and the Facility Management Team, this role involves maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds for Community Unit School District 200. The technician must be on call per rotation for emergency services. A minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance technician or groundskeeper is required, along with a High School diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. The work hours are typically 7 AM to 4 PM or 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, not exceeding five days a week. Performance is evaluated annually. Category:

$19.36/hr Key Functions
A – Buildings
Maintain, diagnose, and repair district buildings and equipment. Assist remodeling projects including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, electrical work. Locate mechanical system shut-offs and detect leaks. B – Equipment
Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. Operate hand and power tools, assist with security and fire alarm systems, and perform preventive maintenance. C – Grounds
Care for lawns, playgrounds, and landscaping. Assist with snow removal and special projects. D – Custodial
Maintain cleanliness and safety of district buildings. Support indoor environment quality and event support. E – Knowledge and Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders, handle heavy materials, operate machinery, and read technical documents. Application Procedure:
