Overview
Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Plant Operations Manager to join our Markham team. You will lead plant operations, drive improvement and FSQA initiatives, and provide leadership for operations across the manufacturing network. Responsibilities
Direct, coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of direct reports to achieve production goals and customer expectations in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner. Maintain product quality, equipment and operator performance standards; ensure cost-effective technology is used to maximize production; preserve fixed assets. Develop departmental budget, monitor plant spending, and report on operating costs within functional areas. Collaborate with plant functional managers to maintain a positive employee relations environment. Advise management on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, and related topics. Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant’s strategic direction, establishing priorities, and allocating resources. Work with Environmental, Health & Safety to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met. Influence all staff to report food safety issues and initiate immediate corrective actions. Qualifications
BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering or related major, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in a management/supervisory role in manufacturing plants in the food/beverage industry. Strong working knowledge of TPM including autonomous maintenance. Ability to analyze line loss and build long-range plans to improve line performance. Excellent root cause analysis and corrective action skills. Ability to work effectively with management, peers and subordinates; strong interpersonal and communication skills. Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to influence, lead, and work in a team environment or independently. Willingness to relocate to the next level within 2-3 years is preferred. Ability to travel as needed. Education & Experience
Bachelor's or University Degree (Required). At least 5 years of experience. Compensation
Annual Salary: $121,600 - $167,200 Benefits
