Polk Mechanical is looking for a Service Project Manager to join our high performing team. This role will provide management for a project or group of projects and will perform additional duties that include developing job estimates, procuring equipment and subcontracts, monitoring and accurately projecting job costs, maintaining billing and schedules, hands-on installation of equipment, and providing technical support and leadership to the field. Additional responsibilities include providing oversight on the day-to-day activities of assigned projects. The Service Project Manager will also develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to foster better communications and develop future work. Job Description

This role will provide hands-on installation of equipment, overall management direction for service projects and will perform additional duties that include developing job estimates, procuring equipment and subcontracts, monitoring and accurately projecting job costs, maintaining billing, project schedules, and providing technical support and leadership to the field. The Service Project Manager will also develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to foster better communications and develop future work. Assist sales team in preparing estimates for service projects and larger service repair opportunities. Ultimately responsible for projects being completed on time and on budget. Reviews project estimates and verifies the accuracy of entry into the job cost system as well as the accuracy of the initial estimate. Conducts pre-job and continuing planning meetings to ensure all project team members understand contract terms and conditions, clauses, schedules, or any unusual requirements of the project. Documents planning meeting results and ensures all action items are completed. Develops and keeps current all project schedules. Monitors personnel manning schedules to ensure they match project schedules. Visits job sites as required. Performs work inspections, checks job progress, and resolves project and contract issues. Investigates potentially serious job issues and implements corrective measures. Stays on top of all change orders to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner. Provides material takeoff, estimate, and pricing for change orders. Conducts meetings according to customer and company guidelines and schedules. Prepares and submits progress billings and follows up to ensure receipt of payments. Guides the operations team to implement and execute the highest level of customer satisfaction/service, focusing on planning, implementation, and customer communication. Job Requirements:

Familiar with the setting of equipment like air handling equipment, plumbing, and other HVAC type activities. Provide all hand tools needed for equipment installations (larger tools to be provided by Polk). Working knowledge of HVAC systems, Hydronics, and air flow requirements. Preferably possess a strong knowledge in the area of service plumbing, HVAC Service, and installation. Superior communication and interpersonal skills. Company Vehicle. Vacation. Paid Holidays.
