The

Project Coordinator

reports to a National Practice Business Leader and partners with the Business Manager in support of the specific Practice in overall Business & Project Performance, Service Delivery, Profitability and Risk. The Project Coordinator monitors, collects, analyzes data and implements effective solutions to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information to optimize business performance and client management.

Responsibilities

Full responsibility for the application and management of the Project Lifecycle and Practice playbook comprised of goals/outcomes of service, process workflows, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance measures to ensure service delivery excellence, with direct accountability for:

Supporting Practice Business Leader with proactively pulling data, reporting, project review meeting support and action items with responsibility for identifying issues and developing effective solutions.

Leading Project Managers through QAQC of Deltek / Vantagepoint Project & Plan setup and providing feedback as needed.

Providing Pipeline and Project Administration leadership to Project Managers, including Deltek / Vantagepoint Opportunity entry, Project setup and Plan updates as directed by Practice Business Leader, typically during peak activity times.

Performing Deltek billing set-up, including contract review and alignment.

Analyzes project performance and proactively identifies and communicates potential Add Service opportunities.

Partners with Practice Finance Leader in the reconciliation and follow-up of unbilled Items.

Manages and solves complex billing challenges.

Supports ongoing enhancements to the integrated Project Lifecycle and Practice playbook based on new industry trends and lessons learned on projects and accounts.

Regularly communicates with Practice Business Leader, Practice Business Manager, Project Managers, and Finance partners to ensure effective collaboration and support to meet performance goals.

Reviews documentation and contracts to ensure compliance with NELSON standards; escalates issues as needed.

Contributes to and offers professional opinion to the National Practice Business Leader regarding current projects, staff, client relationships, etc.

Submit timely and accurate projections to National Practice Business Leader and promptly notify if actual work varies from plan. Strategize and implement effective solutions.

Complete timesheet daily, confirming accuracy prior to submission.

Complete expense reports timely, confirming accuracy prior to submission.

Team Development and Mentoring

Enhance the work and careers of Teammates through continuous training, support, mentoring on project specific items including: Deltek Opportunities, Project & Plan management; Performance targets and progress reporting.

Provide consistent and constructive feedback to team and assist the National Practice Business Leaders with providing teammates with opportunities to achieve professional goals.

Internal Client Relationship

Maintain positive relationships—foster relationships and engage to effectively collaborate to achieve business performance goals.

Business Travel & Billable Expectations

Ability and willingness to be away from home for business travel up to 50% of the time (120 weekdays/weeknights annually excluding weekends and holiday and Personal Time Off).

Education & Experience

Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Planning, Interior Design, Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, Project Management or Information Management from an accredited University.

5+ years relevant industry experience preferred; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience.

National salary range: $20-$25/hour. Additional compensation includes bonuses and benefits (compensation factors are based upon years of relevant experience, qualifications/licensure, education, and location.) Bonuses can include but are not limited to: Long Term Incentive Plan, Short Term Incentive Plan, Profit Sharing.
