Job Title: Office of Computing and Information Services Director Location: Dalton State College | Regular/Temporary: Regular | Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 288917 Dalton State College delivers a transformational education experience in a community serving more than 5,000 students through its two campuses and online programs. This position is responsible for directing the college\u2019s computing and information services functions. Ensures a customer-service focused operation and that IT planning and resourcing is integrated with institutional operations with a particular focus on faculty and student support. Manages and directs Dalton State College information technology functions - 40%
Manages the acquisitions, maintenance, update, and operation of information technology resources. Develops departmental strategic plans and establishes departmental priorities. Develops and implements college IT policies and procedures. Prepares annual reports. Coordinates with the University System of Georgia and participates in the CIO Advisory Council. Works as part of a coordinated team to ensure compliance with Board Policy, USG Business Procedures, ITS Handbook requirements, and other USG and regulatory guidelines governing use of IT resources.
Manages department budgets - 30%
Develops and manages department budgets. Approves all IT-related expenditures. Manages Student Technology Fee budget.
Serves as the college\u2019s Information Security Officer - 20%
Develops and implements security protocols. Develops and implements disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Directs the work of department personnel - 10%
Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience At least five years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications

Skills - Skill in managing technology projects at the enterprise level. - Skill in thinking strategically and aligning strategic and operational needs with organizational development initiatives. - Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority. - Skill in collaborating and communicating with multiple constituents. - Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs. - Skill in decision making and problem solving. - Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. - Skill in oral and written communication.
