Overview
Customer Service Manager – Madison Heights, Michigan Ionbond is seeking a dynamic and energetic leader to join our team in a fast-paced, industrial environment. The role focuses on delivering top-tier service by collaborating with plant management and sales to ensure a superior customer experience. This position reports to the Plant Manager at the Madison Heights Coating Center and supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
Lead the Shipping and Receiving/Delivery personnel, including training, coaching, and employee development. Build and retain customer relationships by providing excellent service related to ordering, pricing, delivery, etc., and respond to routine questions. Oversee and participate in department functions to ensure proper coating specifications, purchase orders, and special instructions accompany incoming and outgoing orders. Establish production schedules; monitor status of customers’ orders and expected shipping dates; alert local team to issues impacting service. Liaise with Sales Managers, Production Management, and Regional Staff to ensure proactive and clear communication with current and prospective customers. Collaborate with management to develop continuous improvement initiatives and 5S in the facility, maintaining a safe and organized work area per corporate safety regulations. Degree from an accredited college (preferred); High School diploma required Five+ years’ experience in industrial/manufacturing with technical sales and/or customer service Five+ years’ experience in team management/leadership Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office tools Strong work ethic, attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to work core business hours on-site High energy and professionalism Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, undergo background checks, and pass a pre-placement physical How to apply
