Transportation Specialist — Grand Sierra Resort

Overview Join to apply for the Transportation Specialist role at Grand Sierra Resort. The position involves driving a limousine and shuttle, transporting guests to/from the airport and nearby locations, greeting guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring safe operation of vehicles.

Responsibilities

GSR limousine driver and shuttle driver, when business demands warrant.

Transport guests to/from airport and surrounding locations as needed.

Greet guests and assist them with luggage. Assist guests in/out of the limousine and shuttles.

Ensure compliance with the Commercial Driver License (CDL) requirements as applicable and ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle, including transporting 16 or more passengers.

Maintain knowledge of limousine and shuttle bus functions, maintenance, and safety, including procedures for handling wheelchair lifts, temperature control, and fuel/fluid level checks.

Be knowledgeable of hotel events/promotions to respond to guest inquiries promptly.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

21 years+ minimum age

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to read and interpret maps, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals

Effective communication with guests and employees in English

Valid Nevada Commercial Driver’s License

Current Nevada DMV printout with no points

Pre-employment drug test required

Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more; frequent lifting of supplies and equipment

Ability to communicate via two-way radio or cellphone

Excellent visual perception

Knowledge of the Reno/Sparks area is a plus

Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods

Maintain a professional appearance and cordial attitude toward guests and staff

Ability to handle stress in a hospitality environment

People-oriented and able to work independently or with others

Ability to adapt quickly to changing activities
