Diesel-Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician

Odessa, TX area
Job Description Performance of all drive train component work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, steering systems. Ability to install, adjust or align brakes, wheels and wheel components such as bearings and air brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems. Knowledge of air brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems. Knowledge of vehicle body control systems including electronics, AC and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and preventative maintenance on all units as scheduled.
Other tasks as assigned.
Equipment Types
Light/Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks
Diesel Engines, Transmissions and Fuel Systems, Generators and PTO’s 12/24 Volt vehicle electrical systems
Qualifications
Mechanical Experience/Training in the Oilfield Industry
Technical Institute Training or equivalent work experience and training
Capability to do electrical wiring. Basic understanding of OSHA HazCom, Lock Out Tag Out and Fire Protection regulations
Valid DL. (CDL preferred)
Follow all Safety, Personal Protective and Equipment Policies
Successful candidate will possess and use his/her personal hand tools
Additional Information
Company provides transportation from local office to worksite.
Travel: Seven (14) on, Seven (7) off, or Ten (10) on, Four (4) off.
Shifts: 8 to 12 hours.
Insurance and Benefit programs available.
Compensation: D.O.E.
