Transportation Engineer

Responsibilities
Assist in technical design for civil engineering transportation projects
Complete design reports and documentation
Coordinate with utility companies and agencies
Calculate quantities and develop construction cost estimates
Participate in quality assurance and reviews of design plans, specifications, and estimates
Engage in public involvement activities
Travel to project sites and other EMCS locations as needed

Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
At least 2 years of relevant experience
EIT certification preferred
Familiarity with INDOT standards, practices, and policies is a plus
Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license
