PROGRAM MANAGER – SON PROGRAMS (Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Wilcox, Marengo, Choctaw, and Perry Counties Nurse Family Partnership)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Program Manager for the Nurse Family Partnership of Greater Alabama across Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Wilcox, Marengo, Choctaw, and Perry Counties. Under general supervision, the Program Manager will support the Project Manager by coordinating daily plans, managing project activities, communicating with partners, handling requisitions and finances, tracking participant data, preparing reports, and assisting in grant management and compliance. This role requires dedication to the mission of SON and adherence to all University policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Coordinates administrative and logistics support for project personnel and faculty and manages day‑to‑day activities.
Maintains communication with existing partners and the project team.
Calls client referrals and schedules initial meetings with nurse home visitors on calendar.
Processes payment requests and requisitions in accordance with established procedures; responsible for adherence to program budgets.
Orders supplies, equipment, makes travel arrangements and manages event planning for the project.
Inputs project data into the database and works with the Data Analyst.
Assists with planning, scheduling and maintaining records of team meetings.
Schedules data collection efforts and uses Qualtrics to prepare surveys and record data.
May assist in the preparation of presentations and publications.
Participates in education/training opportunities that facilitate this role.
Schedules quarterly NFP Community Advisory Board meetings and invites stakeholders.
Facilitates compliance relative to University and SON and sponsor policies, program announcements, and procedures.
Participates in education/training opportunities that facilitate this role.
Ethical conduct is a fundamental expectation for every UAB community member. All employees must abide by the standards of behavior outlined in the UAB Enterprise Code of Conduct and attest to the Code by completing required training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
Preferred: previous program coordinator/administrator/project manager or related experience and high organizational skill.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to construct tables, graphs, and charts.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, professional, and able to work independently.
Ability to adhere to SON & UAB policies and procedures, including FERPA, HIPAA, and the UAB Enterprise Code of Conduct.
Position is on‑site in the local office serving the specified counties.
