Job Description The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a

PROGRAM MANAGER-SON PROGRAMS (Black Belt Area) . This role supports the Project Manager for the Nurse Family Partnership of Greater Alabama and works closely with project personnel across Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Wilcox, Marengo, Choctaw, and Perry Counties.

Under general supervision, the Program Manager will: provide administrative support for the project, coordinate daily activities, manage requisitions, assist with financial management, track participants and data, prepare reports, develop procedures and processes (including database development and maintenance), and generate routine and ongoing grant reports. The Program Manager must support the mission of the SON and adhere to all University policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Coordinate administrative and logistics support for project personnel and faculty and manage day‑to‑day activities.

Maintain communication with existing partners and the project team.

Call client referrals and schedule initial meetings with nurse home visitors.

Process payment requests and requisitions according to established procedures; ensure adherence to program budgets.

Order supplies, equipment, make travel arrangements and manage event planning for the project.

Input project data into the database and work with the Data Analyst.

Assist with planning, scheduling, and maintaining records of team meetings.

Schedule data collection efforts and use Qualtrics to prepare surveys and record data.

Assist in the preparation of presentations and publications.

Participate in education/training opportunities that facilitate this role.

Schedule quarterly NFP Community Advisory Board meetings and invite stakeholders.

Facilitate compliance with University, SON, and sponsor policies, program announcements, and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.

Preference for candidates with previous program coordinator/administrator/project manager experience and high organizational skill.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other software as needed (e.g., ability to construct tables, graphs, and charts).

Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, assessment and management skills.

Self‑motivated, professional, detail oriented, and able to work independently.

Ability to comply with all SON & UAB policies and procedures, including FERPA, HIPAA, and the UAB Enterprise Code of Conduct.

Announced Salary:

Annual Salary: $45,395 - $73,770

Location:

On-site position in a local office serving Washington, Clarke, Monroe, Wilcox, Marengo, Choctaw, and Perry Counties.
