Warehouse Manager

Position Overview:

The Receiving Lead at FreezPak Logistics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the receipt of goods in our cold storage facility. This role ensures the accurate and timely receipt of products, proper documentation, and the organization of goods within the warehouse. The Receiving Lead will manage a team of warehouse associates and work closely with other departments to maintain efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantities, condition, and documentation.

Direct and support a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Ensure proper storage and organization of received goods in designated areas, following FIFO protocols.

Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory logs.

Inspect incoming goods for quality, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or damages.

Enforce safety protocols and practices within the receiving area, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Coordinate with other departments, such as Shipping, Inventory, and Quality Assurance, to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Address and resolve any issues related to receiving discrepancies, damaged goods, or delays in shipments.

Provide regular reports to the Warehouse Manager on receiving activities, inventory levels, and any operational challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and receiving processes. Experience in cold storage is a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

Cold storage environment with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 35°F.

May be required to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
