Job Title: Field Service Technician II

Job Description The Field Service Technician II provides field support to our clients by commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, or retrofitting mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment, controls, communications, computers, and documentation, interfacing with Quality, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Process Engineers, client personnel, and other field engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Compile and transmit O&M and IOM information
Assist in compiling final IOM manuals
Provide mechanical and electrical commissioning
Direct field commissioning of a project
Resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues
Document mechanical & electrical commissioning
Interface with project & engineering teams
Assist with quality assurance and control tasks
Assist in factory training and assembly
Other responsibilities as assigned by TAS
Job Skills
Reading drawings and schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Exposure to at least one brand of PLC or building controls
Independent work at job site
Education & Training
HVAC trade school or apprenticeship training preferred
Military training and/or technical work experience may be considered
Minimum Requirements
Significant project field experience in construction support, startup, repair, and maintenance
Experience verifying compliance with ASHRAE, ASME, and other relevant codes
Ability to travel extensively domestically and internationally
Work in field construction conditions
Safe driving record and applicable safety certifications (OSHA10, NFPA‑70E, etc.)
Physical Requirements / Work Environment 80% travel domestically and internationally. Ability to exert up to 10 lbs occasionally or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Perform repetitive motions, stooping, bending, crouching. Visual acuity, color, depth perception, and field of vision necessary for reading data, operating a computer terminal, and conducting extensive reading. Subject to indoor environmental conditions.
