Position overview:

Production mechanic maintains and repairs production equipment and other industrial machinery such as conveyer systems, production machinery and packaging equipment. Install, dismantle, repair, reassemble and move machinery on the production floor. Position overview

A production mechanic manager is responsible for overseeing all installations, repairs and upkeep of operations within the company’s facilities. You will ensure that colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great production mechanic manager will have a solid understanding of electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. You should be well-versed in maintenance processes and health and safety regulations and have aptitude for administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting and scheduling. Essential job functions

Disassemble machinery and equipment when there is a problem. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components. Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications. Detect minor problems by performing basic diagnostic tests. Clean and lubricate equipment or machinery; check the performance of machinery. Install equipment and reset or calibrate sensors and controls; install or repair machinery and equipment; adjust and align machine parts. Replace defective parts of machinery as needed. Move machinery and equipment. Additional responsibilities

Develop maintenance procedures to ensure implementation. Carry out inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues. Check electrical and hydraulic systems of equipment to ensure functionality. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities. Allocate workload and supervise the upkeep of mechanics. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary; monitor expenses and control the budget for equipment repair expenses; manage relationships with contractors and service providers; keep preventative maintenance logs and reports on daily activities. Ensure health and safety policies are followed. Requirements

Fluent in English. Knowledge of cGMP and SOPs. 5 to 10 years of mechanical experience. Able to lift at least 25 to 50 pounds. Education

High school diploma or GED Safety

Must comply with company safety rules and OSHA requirements. Additional Information
