HDR Engineering is currently seeking a

Transmission Line Project Manager

to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.

Locations Opportunities are available in these preferred locations: Austin, Ann Arbor, Boise, Bismarck, Billings, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Irvine, Fort Worth, Houston, Honolulu, Kansas City, Madison, Minneapolis, Missoula, Omaha, Phoenix, Portland (OR & ME), Richmond, Raleigh, Sacramento/Folsom, San Diego, Seattle, Spokane, St Louis, Syracuse.

Primary Responsibilities As part of a well-established global Power Delivery practice, you will manage transmission line projects of all sizes and complexities, domestically and potentially abroad, and work closely with design teams to execute these projects.

Managing and leading projects and programs throughout the entire life cycle.

Working independently and/or directing, mentoring, training, and/or supervising one or more Project Engineers, EITs, Coordinators, Designers, CADD Technicians, and administrative staff.

Providing project team member oversight over workload, schedule, quality, utilization, morale, and performance.

Overseeing non‑engineering components of projects and programs such as public engagement, agency engagement, permitting, right‑of‑way acquisition, and construction management.

Leading the QA/QC process per HDR’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with a commitment to exceeding client quality expectations.

Supporting client management and engaging in broader business development activities with existing and target clients in the region.

Coordinating with Area and Regional leadership and HDR’s Talent Acquisition team to develop a hiring plan to build and grow a professional group to meet program needs.

Working share with staff in multiple offices to execute projects.

Representing HDR to support marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.

FE, PE license preferred; PMP in lieu of PE.

A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.

Ability to interact with various design teams and excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.

Compensation The targeted salary range for this position is $105,403 – $190,200, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.) New Jersey range: $95,000 – $198,125.
