Job Summary To coach and guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. This includes recruiting and hiring qualified employees and ensuring that they receive necessary training. The supervisor maintains a high performance work environment through goal setting, operating principles, communication, and fair treatment. The supervisor must take action to correct poor performance or behavior that risks individuals or teams or affects objectives as necessary.
Key Accountabilities
Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within the established budget.
Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
Coordinate, assign, and review work.
Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
Ensure all team members receive required instruction in safety procedures, proper use of equipment, performance standards, disciplinary processes and company policies.
Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Responsible for record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
Report any accidents or incidents within the facility; reports must be completed immediately and forwarded to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
Monitor working conditions to ensure safety; take timely corrective and disciplinary action as necessary.
Apply problem solving techniques to resolve personnel and quality issues (examples: 8D; 5 Why; Kaizen).
Other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
Position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Basic math and reading skills obtained by a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have basic computer skills.
Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience and performance.
Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, even from unrelated experiences.
Safety Mindset.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
2-3 years supervisory experience in a related field.
Knowledge of metals handling for staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
First aid and CPR training.
Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices and sales functions.
Job Compensation 65,000.00 - 70,000.00
