Flight Operations Officer

– based at our headquarters in Malta. We dispatch business jets 24/7 worldwide. The ideal candidate has experience in flight operations, either in private or commercial aviation, with the ability to work in a complex aviation environment, maintain attention to detail, think critically, and work well in a team or independently.
Responsibilities
Global IFR/VFR, short-range, and ultra-long-range EROPS flight planning in compliance with applicable regulations.
Flight feasibility checks, arranging overflight/landing permissions, and slots globally.
Arranging handling, fuel, VIP and additional services for the aircraft as necessary.
Managing passenger details and arranging customs and immigration services as required (e.g., eAPIS).
Reading and analyzing FIR/Enroute/Station NOTAMs, TAF and METAR in flight planning and acting on information that may affect dispatch.
Arranging additional insurance coverage for aircraft operating into/out of places with coverage exclusions.
Maintaining awareness of worldwide traffic flow and planning accordingly.
Updating crew about slots that may be incurred due to European Central flow management.
Monitoring weather, geopolitics, and security worldwide.
Cooperating with Ground Operations Coordinators for cost comparisons of different airports and handlings; verifying COVID-19 restrictions for passengers and crew.
Managing flight schedules and passenger details in the Flight Scheduling System.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED or higher education.
Experience in flight dispatch; experience with PPS flight planning software; GURU W&B.
General knowledge of aviation regulations; process-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
Good prioritization and ability to coordinate communication between departments, external providers, and clients.
Dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, meticulousness, and resourcefulness.
Ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions based on available information.
Willingness to work toward objectives set by the OCC Supervisor.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fluent English (written and spoken); other languages are an advantage.
Permanent EU work and residence permit.
