Overview
PTAG, a leading Project Management Advisory & Services firm recognized across North America for delivering major capital projects in the power industry, is seeking a Senior Testing & Commissioning Manager (ST&CM) to lead all testing and commissioning phases of high-voltage substation projects—including greenfield and brownfield developments. You’ll oversee energization planning, system readiness, and validation of protection, automation, SCADA, and cybersecurity systems, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance at every stage. Responsibilities
Lead development of commissioning plans, energization sequences, and documentation packages. Oversee P&C, SCADA, and network system testing. Supervise functional, phasing, and point-to-point testing activities. Ensure OSHA and customer safety compliance in all field operations. Coordinate with engineering, operations, and construction teams for outage planning and energization. Approve test results, documentation, and final commissioning reports. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline. 5+ years in electrical equipment testing, commissioning, and protection systems. Strong understanding of SCADA, A&I, and communication protocols (DNP3, MMS, Modbus). Experience with Aspen OneLiner, Doble, or IEC 61850 testing tools. OSHA 30, First Aid/AED, and valid driver’s license. Why Join PTAG
