This individual will plan, develop, and implement the EDI operations and strategy roadmap for the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: EDI SPECIALIST Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as business units, IT departments, vendors, and trading partners. Negotiate and support contracts and service level agreements with EDI service providers and vendors. Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of EDI systems, applications, and integrations. Monitor and evaluate EDI system performance, availability, security, and compliance; initiate corrective actions as needed. Ensure EDI systems adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Resolve complex EDI issues and provide technical support and guidance to users. Conduct regular audits and reviews of EDI systems and processes; recommend improvements and enhancements. Prepare and present reports on EDI system status, metrics, and outcomes. Partner with distribution leadership to develop and maximize cross-dock EDI solutions. Maintain ASN compliance with vendors. Stay updated on the latest EDI trends, technologies, and innovations; evaluate their applicability for the organization. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDI SPECIALIST 6+ years of experience in EDI systems development, implementation, and management. Extensive knowledge of EDI standards, formats, protocols, and technologies such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2, FTP, VAN communication protocols. Experience with AS400 / iSeries and RPG development and data files. Knowledge of OpenText, TrustedLink, and BizManager. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: EDI SPECIALIST Experience with JDA MMS is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
