is hiring for a
Facilities Supervisor
to manage facilities operations, lead a team, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable building systems and performance.
Responsibilities
Manage contracts, work with vendors, troubleshoot repairs, respond to emergency calls, monitor inventory, procure materials, implement and maintain policies, and lead 8 junior members of the facilities team.
Perform and train staff on technical repairs and maintenance related to plumbing, HVAC equipment, electrical wiring, refrigeration, and related systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and systems, troubleshoot and repair facility HVAC and laboratory systems, and respond to occupant temperature/airflow requests.
Coordinate construction projects and service contractors (e.g., duct revisions, DDC programming, crane operators, equipment replacement, roof repairs).
Determine inventory levels of HVAC-related parts and materials; read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and control diagrams for troubleshooting.
Manage and maintain central compressed air and vacuum systems; oversee interior and exterior lighting and emergency evacuation lighting.
Cross-train on non-HVAC equipment; coordinate with Quest Diagnostics departments to minimize operational interference.
Respond to emergencies 24/7 and participate in on-call duties; manage parking, landscaping, snow removal, and parking garage maintenance as applicable.
Archive management and destruction with involvement in SOPs and coordination of labor as needed.
Qualifications Required Work Experience:
3–5 years of experience in Health or R&D industry.
Practical experience in mechanical trades: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC.
Preferred Work Experience:
Previous supervisory and/or team lead experience.
Physical and Mental Requirements: Able to lift heavy objects.
Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA and compliance regulations.
Skills:
Ability to work with diverse groups; computer proficiency (Word and Excel); detail-oriented.
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to respond quickly to emergencies; ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong customer-service focus.
