HVAC Technician - Chantilly, VA, Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Job responsibilities : Provides a full range of industrial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration maintenance and repair skills, including but not limited to maintenance/repair of industrial HVAC equipment, HVAC DDC control systems, laboratory & general exhaust systems and hot water heat boilers. Performs equivalent or lower-level services in all phases of facility maintenance as required. The purpose of this position is to provide in-house HVAC skills/services to address the duties and responsibilities listed herein. Pay range : $31.77 - $35.83+ per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. Benefits

Responsibilities
Performs daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual preventive maintenance on 10 - 75 ton HVAC equipment, including: filter, belt, electrical, DDC & pneumatic controls and refrigeration system maintenance. Troubleshoots and repairs all facility HVAC equipment, including: system controls, electrical components, supply & return fan replacement, 35 - 75 ton compressor replacement. Maintains and repairs all laboratory exhaust systems. Troubleshoots and repairs laboratory refrigerators and freezers. Responds to occupant temperature/airflow adjustment requests, modifies temperatures and airflow quantity and flow patterns as required. Monitors the operation and maintains the central compressed air and vacuum systems. Coordinates contractor services when required, e.g. duct revisions, DDC system programming, crane operators, equipment replacement, roof repairs. Determines and maintains inventory levels of HVAC related spare parts and material required for maintenance and repairs. Reads and understands complicated blue prints, wiring schematics, control diagrams and other equipment specifications to aid in troubleshooting efforts. Recommends revisions to preventive maintenance programs to increase program effectiveness. Must be willing to be crossed trained on non-HVAC equipment and perform non-HVAC related assignments. Qualifications
Education Preferred:
High School Diploma. Certification required by 40CFR part 82, subpart F in proper refrigerant practices. Completion of manufacturer provided training courses related to HVAC DDC controls, i.e. Andover Controls. Work Experience:
7-10 years commercial/industrial HVAC experience relating to the repair and maintenance of the size/type of equipment referenced herein. Experience can be as an in-house mechanic in commercial facilities or as a mechanic for a HVAC service company. Other:
