Role Overview
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Commercial Subsidiaries Group Relationship Manager for its New York, New York location.
Responsibilities
Partner with product specialists to provide a full array of corporate banking solutions for multi‑national clients.
Understand each client’s unique needs and deliver innovative solutions across cash management, foreign exchange, trade finance, custody and clearing, loans, capital markets, derivatives, and structured products.
Collaborate with investment bankers to integrate investment banking capabilities for global clients.
Drive Citi’s global network initiatives to enhance access of the bank’s subsidiaries within the Citi network, focusing on LATAM and EMEA, for global services and solutions.
Apply local industry and market knowledge to deliver tailored financial solutions for LATAM and EMEA subsidiaries.
Deepen relationships, proactively own and respond to client needs, roadblocks, risks, and expectations.
Introduce and strengthen an effective portfolio of solutions with product specialists and subject‑matter experts.
Work closely with Case Managers on onboarding and retention, ensuring appropriate “Know Your Client” (KYC) and compliance deliverables are met.
Identify cross‑sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
Maximize client experience by sharing market updates, trends, and intelligence.
Drive continued innovation in solutions and develop business opportunities where appropriate.
Administer client credit relationships, coordinating policies and process compliance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi’s policies and guidelines.
Telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Six years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience as a Corporate Regional Relationship Manager, Relationship Banker, or related position involving global banking solutions for LATAM, EMEA, NAM, and APAC multinational institutional and commercial clients.
Experience in credit finance products, investment banking products, industry credit policies, and credit parameters.
Advanced early warning detection skills.
Knowledge of banking products such as foreign exchange solutions for currency trading and hedging, interest rate, FX, and commodities risks.
Track record in international treasury and cash management solutions.
Understanding of LATAM and EMEA local policies, cross‑border operations, credit, business practices, financing instruments, and KYC regulation.
Experience with debt rating models and returns on risk capital models.
Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management tools, including Salesforce.
Relationship management experience with institutional clients within commercial and corporate banking for subsidiaries of multinational companies.
Up to 40% international and domestic travel required.
