Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly skilled Principal Modeling & Simulation Strategist to support Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations for the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, DAMI Strategy and Transformation Division. This senior-level role is critical to advancing enterprise-level decision-making through sophisticated modeling and simulation capabilities. The strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping Army policy, strategy, and governance, leveraging M&S to inform senior leadership and drive transformation across the intelligence enterprise. The ideal candidate will lead change across a broad community of interest, fostering collaboration among Army stakeholders, the Joint Staff, other DoD components, the Intelligence Community (IC), and interagency partners.
The analyst will lead change across a diverse community of interest, engaging stakeholders from across the Army, Joint Staff, other DoD components, the Intelligence Community (IC), and interagency partners. The position requires strategic alignment of analytical efforts with broader national defense objectives, ensuring coherence across departments and organizations. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to influence and integrate across complex organizational boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate, develop, and manage M&S capabilities to support Army G-2 analytical assessments, experimentation, and decision support activities.
Interface between intelligence analysts, model developers, and system engineers to ensure M&S tools accurately represent operational realities and threat environments.
Translate complex modeling results into clear operational insights, visualizations, and reports for G-2 leadership decision-making.
Maintain awareness of emerging M&S technologies, digital engineering, and AI/ML integration for application to Army intelligence use cases.
Support wargaming, red teaming, and analytical experiments, providing subject-matter expertise on simulation design, execution, and interpretation of results.
Prepare executive-level presentations, information and decision papers, and correspondence.
Coordinate across diverse teams and organizations to ensure intelligence systems and modernization efforts are evaluated holistically.
Prior experience supporting Army Headquarters (HQDA G-2), Executive or Headquarters Staff level support, or a Combatant Command J-2, with a strong understanding of military intelligence operations and organizational structures — or equivalent experience in industry or government roles involving strategic intelligence support, enterprise-level knowledge management, or senior executive coordination.
Required Qualifications
Requires Eligibility for a DoD TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field and 10 years of professional experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering executive-level briefings.
Experience collaborating with joint, interagency, and multinational partners to support strategic and operational planning.
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to multitask in a high paced environment
Requires eligibility for a DoD TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Prior experience within Army Headquarters (HQDA G-2) or a Combatant Command J-2 environment.
Experience working with or within the defense industry supporting government contracts.
Master’s degree or higher in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in defense modeling and simulation, with demonstrated leadership in change management and strategic integration.
Proven ability to lead enterprise-level initiatives and influence policy and governance.
Strong understanding of Army intelligence operations, strategic planning, and transformation efforts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
