Produce Associate
Join the Sam’s Club produce team and help members get quality, fresh fruits and vegetables at a low cost. You will work front‑line customer service, ensuring availability, cleanliness, and freshness while enhancing the member shopping experience.
Base Pay Range $16.00/hr – $23.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Be a Team Member:
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools and resources, communicate effectively, and be flexible to support other areas to keep in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
Be an Expert:
Understand the processes and specifications related to produce quality (taste, preparation, seasonality), prepare products (trim, crisp, package, scale) according to standards, maintain product safety and sanitation, and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions and encourage peers to adopt new tools.
Be an Owner:
Drive area performance through inventory management, stock rotation, quality and date control, waste elimination, and customer focus; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs.
Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the department and the club, model high‑quality service and products, execute fundamentals at the highest level, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards; implement action plans, utilize the Open Door Policy, and apply these in business processes.
Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
