Work Hours Monday‑Friday, non‑exempt position with one‑hour lunch and two rest breaks

Travel Required to regional branch offices and job sites based on business needs

Job Overview The QA/QC Inspector plans and conducts activities related to the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. This role represents the company and its subcontractors during pipe and equipment installation, welding inspection, and oversight of subcontractor quality. The Inspector also participates in the General Contractor’s project quality program and documents installation activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct analysis, inspection, testing, and integration to ensure product/component quality.

Review design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.

Evaluate purchased products/components for future vendor approval.

Document quality assurance data per company policies and procedures.

Communicate significant quality issues and recommend process improvements.

Prepare reports detailing QA activities and findings.

Maintain working knowledge of current industry codes and specifications.

Perform other duties as assigned by the quality team.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop new approaches to solve QA‑related problems.

Present technical information and reports to teams and management.

Support technical and administrative QA activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Site QC Supervisor or QA/QC Director.

Position Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control, with at least 3 years focused on ASME B31 piping codes, construction, welding, NDT, etc.

AWS QC‑1 Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or ICC Mechanical – Commercial Certification preferred.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Strong written communication and report writing skills.

Proficient in calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Problem‑solving skills in non‑standardized situations.

Regular and routine attendance required.

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 25 lbs.

Annual Jaeger (J1) vision test required.

Regular walking, stair climbing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
