The Sales/BD Manager is an expert in rotating equipment applications, lifecycle, and markets globally, with a focus on aftermarket. The role requires a strong technical background in rotating equipment (centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, steam turbines, pumps, gearboxes, etc.) and a good market view of the Oil and Gas sector, especially in Downstream, Refinery, and Petrochemical segments. Knowledge of O&G & Energy companies in Latin America, with a successful track record in sales and customer support, is essential. International experience and an entrepreneurial approach are required to develop and implement strategies for increasing market share, order generation, and margin expansion aligned with financial targets. The position is based in Houston, focusing on the Latin American market, particularly Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with Portuguese preferred. The role is crucial in supporting Blackstone's growth and localization strategy in these regions. Responsibilities
Lead sales activities for Blackstone products and services with customers in Latin America. Support expansion strategies for local presence, focusing on field service, parts sales, repairs, and engineered solutions. Achieve order and revenue targets with assigned volume and margin goals. Develop long-term market strategies and support localization and inorganic growth initiatives. Manage relationships with partners and develop customer relationships at all levels. Assist in proposals, contract negotiations, and risk assessments. Support project execution and customer interactions as per contractual agreements. Contribute to long-term localization strategies in collaboration with leadership. Education & Experience
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with over 10 years in sales or commercial roles involving rotating equipment. Extensive experience in Oil & Gas and Energy industries. Proven sales and customer account management success. Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, with strong communication skills, capable of building a business with minimal support. MBA is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus. Willingness to travel extensively. Additional Details
