The Procurement Analyst will play a critical role in the development and execution of Aypa's portfolio of stand-alone battery storage and hybrid projects. This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to successfully specify and procure key project equipment for our growing portfolio.
Responsibilities
Support in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and assist in the formation of budgets for utility-scale BESS and solar projects
Support database upkeep with latest market offerings, pricing, form factors, and other KPIs
Support regular pricing reconciliation to affirm latest pricing is included in the company's estimation model
Collaborate with legal, engineering, development, and commercial teams to structure optimal procurement strategies and downstream scope management
Report key procurement indicators and trends monthly to the broader management team
Manage and cultivate new relationships with OEMs to support long-term sourcing needs, technology alignment, and project schedules
Support detailed vendor onboarding and review process through managing documentation workflows (NDAs, SOQs, vendor profiles) and ensuring timely completion of onboarding milestones
Work closely with internal and external resources to structure, negotiate and close project transactions related to acquisitions, financings, and divestitures, as well as commercial and technical contract agreements by providing equipment-centric information
Provide support on pre-execution capital and operational expenditure models based on received pricing, underlying commodities, and consideration for strategic deals
Ensure projects adhere to environmental and safety standards and assist in the development of safety plans and protocols related to the equipment
Support technical reviews and onboarding of new technology and market products
Support internal team on contracting key equipment and long-term service agreements with OEMs
Support broad techno-commercial optimization process
Other duties as assigned or required, including techno-commercial value engineering
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in utility-scale renewable or thermal procurement
Professional Engineer (P.Eng, PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) designations considered an asset
Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, including a demonstrated proactive work ethic
Ability to plan, oversee, and personally execute numerous projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities
General understanding of construction and EPC scoping for utility-scale energy projects
Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes in the energy sector
Compensation and Location Salary:
Full-time base salary commensurate with experience.
Bonus:
An annual bonus will be awarded based on both individual performance as well as the overall success of the business.
