The Lead Quality Inspector is a key facilitator of the quality management system. This role will coordinate communication between quality, engineering, production, and customers to help projects move efficiently through the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Communicate and guide quality and manufacturing personnel. Source and develop suppliers to ensure vendor capabilities, contract expectations, quality, and delivery are met. Develop operational instructions for new equipment, processes, and inspection activities. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), In Process (IP), and Final Inspection (FI), recording findings. Analyze process data to suggest improvements. Lead root-cause investigations of internal nonconforming materials, customer complaints, and CAPA activities. Participate in layered process audits. Assist in launching new and changing projects (APQP, PPAP, Change Control). Develop inspection fixtures and operational procedures. Maintain calibration database, processes, and records. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

AS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience. At least 3 years in an industrial environment as a manufacturing or quality professional (ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred). Ability to read blueprints/drawings and perform quality inspections using mechanical/functional gaging and test equipment. Knowledge of analytical problem-solving tools is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong understanding of GD&T. Experience with CMM PC-DIMIS operation and programming is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including generating quality reports. Strong communication skills. Manufacturing knowledge. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
