Variable days and shifts Monday through Friday, (shifts typically 9 am to 5 pm depending on the needs of the facility)
Overview Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) modules and other office equipment to perform all clerical tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Works in collaboration with physicians (MD, DO), Physician Assistants (PA), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), and Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Responsibilities
Patient care management: schedule appointments, conduct telephone contact with patients, manage scanning, prepare records, collect payments, and answer patient questions regarding clinical charges and basic insurance benefits.
Document patient encounter information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and collaborate with the PPM management team, CPH, physicians, other providers, and support staff.
Ensure all patient encounters, whether in person, electronically, telephonic, or via other communication links, are performed in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
Participate in patient and/or caregiver education as requested by providers.
Appropriately manage incoming and outgoing referrals within CPH and with external entities.
Work with all providers to maintain patient schedules for regular office visits and accommodate adjustments to schedules based on provider needs.
Maintain communication that exceeds expectations in every encounter.
Participate in educational offerings as provided by CPH from time to time.
Control practice expenses through efficient use of medical and clerical supplies; collect payments, balance the cash drawer, and resolve any cash drawer discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications
Clerical experience in the medical field
Experience with Radiology
Understanding of basic medical terminology
Good phone skills and a friendly outgoing personality
Union CSEA - Civil Service Employees Association (MH) (Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible)
Physical Requirements S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Compensation $16.70 - $22.49 (The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.)
