Verland is hiring exceptional people to provide compassionate care as a Program Specialist for our Residential locations - CLA division.

A Program Specialist, working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, is the primary advocate for each individual assigned and will ensure that all medical concerns are addressed. The PS develops, supervises, and coordinates each Individual Support Plan (ISP) for the individuals assigned, completes assessments, identifies strengths, needs, likes, interests, and preferences, as well as dislikes, for each individual. This is a salaried, exempt position. Program Specialist responsibilities: Secures all necessary services to ensure all individuals’ needs are met as specified in the ISP. Completes and ensures all documentation related to ISPs, Quarterly Reviews, ISP revisions, and the ISP process meet all State licensing requirements. Supervises, monitors, evaluates, and/or recommends revisions to services or outcomes in the ISP. Reports changes related to individuals’ needs to the SC and team members. Ensures all content is included in the ISP, including social, emotional, environmental plans, and restrictive procedures plans. Provides assessments to the SC or plan lead at least 30 days before ISP meetings. Reviews ISPs with individuals and coordinates services to meet licensing requirements. Provides documentation of ISP reviews to the SC and team members. Monitors house funds and individual needs-related finances. Tracks individual progress monthly through observations and documentation. Coordinates training for DSPs on health, safety, and individual-specific needs. Develops and implements provider services to meet licensing standards. Must be fluent in all assigned ISPs. Provides ongoing training to staff on ISPs, therapeutic needs, health, medication, diet, and house needs. Maintains a professional attitude and fosters good relationships with staff and individuals. Schedules and attends medical appointments, monitors follow-ups, and ensures care implementation. Maintains medication administration certification and performs MAR reviews and medication checks. Provides face-to-face ISP training to Program Coordinators and DSPs. Acts as Certified Investigator on call when necessary. Performs other related duties as required.
