The QA Inspector will perform inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and devices for conformance to specifications, assembly practices, and standards with limited supervision. Reports to the Quality Manager. Responsibilities Perform inspection of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and devices, including solder joints, wire wrap, cabling, finishes, and dimensions. Use engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure product conformance. Visually inspect in-process and completed electronic and electro-mechanical units following established methods and setups. Inspect welded, soldered, and crimped joints for workmanship standards. Use inspection tools such as Micrometers, Calipers, and Tape Measures. Maintain inspection records in the ERP database. Assist in audits of inspection systems and hardware for compliance. Work experience in an ISO 9001 certified environment preferred. Perform other duties as assigned, upholding company values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of related experience. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent communication skills. Basic knowledge of duties and tasks related to the role. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Flexibility and enthusiasm for changing priorities. Attention to detail. Ability to plan and organize projects. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Good judgment and decision-making skills. Team player with creativity and flexibility. Understanding of engineering principles and practices. Preferred Associates degree preferred. Knowledge of IPC-610 standards. Experience with quality control practices, military specs, and electronics. Experience with inspection tools is a plus. Physical Demands Must regularly stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit. Must lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Temperature-controlled environment with occasional testing areas. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
