Overview Supply Chain Project Lead responsible for ensuring all materials are available to support the production schedule and on-time customer delivery. Focuses on purchase order execution, issue resolution, cross‑functional engagement and acts as an escalation point with Category Managers, Engineering, Warehousing, Operations and Customer.

Primary Duties

Bill of Material (BOM) readiness – review and validate BOMs for accuracy and completeness before order placement.

Issue buyout lists in a timely manner to support on‑time order placement and align with required schedules.

Ensure supplier lead‑times meet production schedule requirements and highlight risks.

Validate purchase orders are placed within the required timeframe to support production requirements.

Collaborate with Category Managers on supplier performance issues and execute corrective action when needed.

Maintain a high sense of urgency for all procurement activities.

Coordinate with Warehousing to ensure parts are received, inspected, staged, and isolated for production readiness.

Participate in internal and external project/program meetings to provide supply chain updates, flag risks, and propose mitigation plans.

Work with buyers to resolve procurement or delivery delays and secure engagement from Engineering, Operations, and suppliers.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to material shortages or delivery risks.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including standardizing expediting protocols and escalation pathways.

Track and report material readiness status, highlighting risks to production schedules and supporting tactical supply chain KPIs such as on‑time delivery to production, supplier lead‑time adherence, PO cycle times, and expedite responsiveness.

Provide clear and timely updates to project teams and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing or project‑based environment.

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence and secure engagement across suppliers and internal teams.

ERP/MRP experience required; SAP strongly preferred.

Intermediate to advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and production demands.

Accountability, collaboration, high performance, and customer focus in delivering on material readiness and commitments.
