Technicians work in a team environment with other technicians, pilots, dispatchers, flight attendants, and line service in order to ensure a safe and legal environment for passengers and colleagues in fulfillment of the air transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer and transient aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
Requirements
Ensure that all work during assigned shift is accomplished and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s technical data, CFSs, and applicable safety regulations.
Possess a violation-free, current
Airframe and Power Plant certificate .
Possess a personal set of tools appropriate to the type of aircraft operated by the department.
Positive, can-do team attitude with great communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
Strong situational awareness, job planning, and scheduling abilities.
Working knowledge of MS Office computer software.
Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s documentation.
Excellent avionics and electrical knowledge; able to read and understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
Superior troubleshooting skills (electrical, avionics, systems, hydraulics).
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and walk distances in the hangar.
Willingness to work varying shifts, holidays, weekends, stand-by, and on-call.
Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions.
