Overview

The Operations Lead for Medical Platforms/Education (MP/E) and Medical Services (MS) reports to the Head of Medical Services and is a key member of the Global Diagnostics Medical Leadership Team. This role drives operational excellence, cross-functional alignment, and strategic execution for MP/E and MS. The position partners with leadership across Zoetis Global Diagnostics to implement medical strategy, improve operational efficiency, and support Global Diagnostics objectives. Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Medical Operations Leadership:

Partner with MP/E and MS leadership to develop, implement, and monitor long-term medical strategy and operating plans; ensure alignment with Global Diagnostics objectives; analyze industry trends, opportunities, and internal performance metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement; plan and facilitate cross-functional meetings and strategic planning processes; act as a thought leader and advisor on operational issues, risk mitigation, and resource allocation. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration:

Facilitate transparent communication across MP/E, MS, and other functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal); lead cross-functional project teams for major initiatives; represent MP/E and MS in global forums and decision-making bodies; ensure effective information flow between global and regional teams. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:

Oversee budgets, resource planning, and headcount tracking in partnership with MP/E and MS leadership, Finance, and HR; drive continuous process improvement, including SOPs, automation opportunities, and best practices for internal and cross-functional communication and efficiency; manage vendor and contingent worker relationships, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance; define and track KPIs for quality, service levels, and financial stewardship; measure impact of medical platforms and education initiatives. People Leadership & Organizational Development:

Provide direct and matrix leadership to project managers, coordinators, and cross-functional team members; foster a culture of high performance, accountability, psychological safety, and professional development; mentor and develop talent, including succession planning and university partnerships. Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree required; advanced degrees in business, management, medical/health or life sciences desired. Certification in project management or related fields also desired. Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in the veterinary or animal health industry, including leadership in medical affairs, technical services, or related operational roles. Demonstrated experience in strategy development, cross-functional leadership, and operational management in global or matrixed environments. Strong understanding of companion animal veterinary medicine preferred; proven ability to lead through influence and drive results in complex, fast-paced environments. Advanced project and process management skills (e.g., Asana, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet); exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Zoetis systems. Travel willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%. Pay and Benefits

The base pay ranges vary by location: Colorado: $126,000 - $181,000; California, NJ Remote, NY Remote, Washington: $134,000 - $205,000. Benefits include healthcare, dental, retirement savings, paid holidays, vacation, and disability insurance. About Zoetis
