Join the KOMPAN U.S. team as a
Bid & Proposal Analyst
and play a key role in shaping the future of playgrounds and outdoor fitness spaces across the country. In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as preparing and submitting compelling proposal packages to external organizations. Reporting to the Bid & Proposal Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with Direct Sales Representatives nationwide and cross-functional teams based in Austin, TX to evaluate opportunities, gather key information, and deliver high-quality proposals. You’ll also work with Regional Sales Managers and the Bid & Proposal Manager to identify market trends and qualify strategic opportunities. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and critical thinker with exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail. You’re comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and navigating complex requests - all while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of every submission. Who We Are For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities. In collaboration with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 sites a month across more than 90 different countries. What You’ll Do Analyze and qualify incoming RFPs (including individual projects and framework agreements) in collaboration with sales professionals Coordinate and facilitate project meetings for each opportunity, managing multiple projects in parallel Define appropriate strategies and coordinate timely submission of deliverables from Sales, Design, Installation/Service, Finance, and Sales Coordination teams Capable of maintaining operational and ad hoc reporting related to proposal activity Maintain framework agreements by managing price lists, preparing renewal documents, ensuring data accuracy, and meeting submission deadlines Manage post-bid activities, including revisions, client follow-ups, and reason codes Regularly update keywords for bidding search engines and databases; generate reports on win-rates and other performance metrics Ensure compliance with government regulations at the local, state, and federal levels Foster strong, ongoing collaboration with dedicated sales professionals across regions Act as liaison between the Sales and Legal teams, ensuring accurate and timely coordination of bid forms and contractual documentation Provide quoting and design support to colleagues as needed What You’ll Need 3+ years of experience in bids, proposal coordination, RFPs, contracts, or a related field (construction industry or public sector experience preferred) Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and pursue the most strategic and profitable opportunities Experience with pricing, margin calculations, and financial analysis (Excel proficiency required) Excellent project management abilities, with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable, with a methodical approach to work Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to anticipate challenges and solve problems independently A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills – a good listener, adaptable, and supportive Experience with CRM systems is a plus Perks and Benefits Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental plans Employer-paid life and disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Competitive PTO and robust holiday schedule Not Sure if You Qualify?
