The UF Health - Precision Health Research Center (PHRC) located in The Villages, FL, hosted within the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) seeks an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill the Special Projects Coordinator position.
This position requires a broad range of business and management skills and the exercise of considerable judgment and initiative. The incumbent, under direct supervision of the center director, oversees small projects or phases of a larger project for the center. The coordinator works with community partners to define project scope and objectives, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of each project. The coordinator also collaborates with project stakeholders within the center to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that meet center needs, and develops work plans, resource plans, project estimates, and status reports as needed.
Responsibilities:
Meet with community leaders to determine project expectations.
Conduct project meetings and communicate project status with partners, project team members, vendors, and supervisors.
Establish and maintain relationships with business units and key partner groups to understand their business needs, ensure alignment on objectives, and ensure ongoing buy-in across all project activities.
Translate center objectives into projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources, and key measures of success.
Effectively set and communicate project expectations to stakeholders.
Facilitate meetings and drive project issues through to resolution.
Research, analyze, and seek resources for resolution of issues that impede project progress.
Create project plans, including timelines and milestones.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage and communicate ongoing changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise mitigation plans.
Support continuous development of best practices and tools for project management and execution.
Conduct post-project assessments and evaluations.
Perform a variety of duties assigned by the Director and leadership, including errands, scheduling meetings with industry/community partners, and managing special projects.
Work with senior research managers on project tasks and other duties as needed.
Cross‑train to provide staff coverage and assist the Director as needed.

Expected Salary $58,000 - $72,000
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
