What you will do You’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. Using your people management experience and passion for helping people, you’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate their seasonal tax business.
You’ll be the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is not remote and must be in-person.

Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry
Your team & responsibilities
Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues
Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates
Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management
Travel between offices as required
Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment
Your Expertise
People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates
Ability to execute growth plans and foster a growth culture
Strong decision-making in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
Computer proficiency with MS Office
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course

Pay Range The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $40.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above.
