The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Area Supervisors are responsible for opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, and maintaining a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment. They ensure proper merchandise presentation, maintain a clean work area at all times, and execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Open and close the Store and supervise Associates.
Maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
Execute and supervise Company operational processes.
Maintain safe & secure environments: prioritize safety, maintain awareness on the sales floor, secure the building, manage emergency procedures.
Provide exemplary customer service and treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect.
Represent and support the Company brand, maintain a professional appearance, and ensure Dress Code compliance.
Handle general merchandising responsibilities: recoveries, sizing, markdowns, receiving merchandise, product placement, back‑stock management, loss prevention, and compliance with presentation guidelines.
Supervise front‑end operations: manage the line, train associates on cash registers, shortage control, break schedules, equipment, and supplies.
Maintain fitting rooms and auditing garment tags.
Perform administrative duties: cash pulls, bank deposits, payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and other tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
Adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, conduct inspections, safeguard confidential information, and maintain the PVM system.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC.
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
Certain assignments may require additional lifting capacities.

The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $18.50. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
