Lester Prairie Public School Position: .5 FTE Guidance Counselor or Social Worker Lester Prairie Public Schools is seeking a positive, self-directed, and highly motivated individual to serve as a Guidance Counselor or Social Worker for Lester Prairie Schools. We are committed to finding strong leaders who value working in a collaborative culture with colleagues, staff, and students. ISD 424 serves approximately 450 students grades preK-12. Lester Prairie Public Schools is a rural school district that is located 50 minutes west of Minneapolis just outside of the Twin Cities Metro Area. Required Qualifications Licensed School Counselor or Licensed Social Worker in the State of Minnesota Experience working with students in an academic/student support setting Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively Strong student advocacy and relationship building Detail oriented Flexibility in work assignments, adjusting daily work schedule as needed Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity to students and staff Knowledge of educational career and personal development resources, standardized testing, and graduation requirements.
