Equine Office Assistant
to join their team!
Telephone & Reception
Provide primary telephone support for the Surgery department; screening and directing emergency and non‑emergency related calls appropriately throughout the department.
Greet and assist clients and visitors.
Assist clients with directions to other locations on campus.
Distribute departmental mail.
Prepare correspondence and transcribe reports.
Preparation of sales reports.
Assist with monthly billing.
Filing correspondence and patient files.
Assist with maintaining appropriate stock of departmental office supplies.
Assist with coordinating maintenance for departmental office equipment.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the reception area.
Report any required repairs to appropriate personnel.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Capable of multi-tasking and utilizing a multi-line phone system.
Excellent computer skills – proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Efficient typing skills.
Medical terminology and knowledge of the Equine and Thoroughbred Industries a plus.
Excellent customer service skills necessary.
Organizational skills.
Effective communicator.
Innovative, motivated, pleasant personality.
Ability to lift more than 10 lbs.
