Position The administrative assistant position provides administrative support to the Human Resources department and Operations leadership and associates. Primary focus is supporting HR administrative initiatives and providing operational clerical for the weekday shift at Sutter Street Manufacturing.

Administrative Assistant I (Human Resources)

– Booneville, MS.

Responsibilities

Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits to the workforce and throughout the facility.

Adhere to Williams-Sonoma policies while performing duties with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others; act with professional courtesy and integrity.

Answer routine inquiries from associates and assist with changes to banking, tax, and personal information.

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, assist with job fairs, review applications and resumes, conduct telephone and on-site screens, schedule interviews, and communicate pre-hire information with candidates.

Assist with associate events.

Schedule pre-employment drug screens and background checks, complete professional references, and employment verifications.

Schedule, assist, and lead New Associate Orientation for non-exempt associates.

Request new badges, replacement badges, and proxy badges for new and current associates via the DCBadges portal.

Create and maintain all HR files and ensure compliance on files and communication boards.

Complete Law Logics training and verify I-9 documentation; ensure recordkeeping complies with state and federal requirements.

Maintain Kronos and AMS daily for non-exempt associates in accordance with Sutter attendance policy.

Review AMS daily for approved time and enter time in Kronos for the correct day.

Generate attendance PNs for manager delivery.

Serve as primary point of contact for non-exempt associates for AMS and UKG (password resets and training).

Assist with maintenance of internal job posting program for the Sutter South Mississippi facility.

Generate weekly performance evaluations and safety WOC and provide to operations for delivery.

Meet daily, weekly, and monthly HR cadence standards.

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive issues.

Conduct audits of internal HR files and policies.

Perform other HR administrative tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

At least 2 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; also proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interact with a large associate population and handle multiple HR inquiries; able to multi-task.

Strong work ethic, professionalism, and communication skills.

Bilingual skills - Spanish/English.

Preferred Qualities

Verified HR experience.

Kronos experience.

Physical Requirements

The selected candidate will occasionally need to lift items weighing 20–25 lbs.

Ability to sit or stand for 8–10 hour periods and to bend and twist as required to complete tasks.
