Qualifications
Achievement of a degree from an accredited college or university in an education or human services related field
2+ years verified child care experience (2,500 hours)
Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep up to date on trainings
Responsibilities
Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn, while maintaining control of environments that build children’s self‑esteem
Implement and plan curriculum for program; ensuring child‑centered and developmentally appropriate learning experiences throughout classrooms using positive reinforcement for behavioral management
Conduct and record weekly child observations as well as any related to child behavior concerns or development that may require early intervention with parents/guardians
Be patient and kind with parents/guardians, communicating effectively and in a timely manner regarding children’s program experience and progress (written and verbal) while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity
Accurately maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, and allergy reports, as well as compliant paperwork within timesheets, incident reports, weekly reports, and child observation reports
Ensure centers are maintained with quality learning materials, organized accordingly in labeled containers associated with appropriate learning center
Attend team‑planning meetings monthly or more as needed
Actively campaign for the Annual Campaign and work to develop donors and volunteers
