Overview
We do our best to ensure qualifying needs are met, to the very best of our ability, serving as a Christian charity, which prayerfully and faithfully networks, acquires and distributes resources to help people in need while being responsible and serving with integrity. As with our annual Thanksgiving Meal Kit Giveaway, we will need several Volunteers to help sort, pack and label up to 60 Christmas Meal Kit boxes/bags which will include all the "fixins" for a traditional homemade Christmas meal for needy families in our community. Volunteer opportunities
Sort, pack and label up to 60 Christmas Meal Kit boxes/bags for needy families, including items such as a frozen half ham butt, brown sugar glaze mix, mashed potatoes mix, brown gravy, canned green beans, cornbread mix, canned pineapple and rolls (items may vary). Deliver meal kits to individuals registered to receive them in the Southwest Denver Metro area. This includes contacting recipients by phone or email, scheduling a drop-off date and time, loading boxes in personal vehicles, and delivering to homes. Assist with the Stocking Stuffer Giveaway by helping set up and staff tables of toys, candy, hygiene products and miscellaneous items for families to receive Christmas stockings. Qualifications and requirements
Volunteers must be 18+ to drive; a current Colorado Driver's License, current vehicle registration and adequate vehicle insurance are required. Volunteers must sign a waiver of liability and have it on file with Love Bears All, Inc. prior to driving or riding as a passenger. Minor Volunteers must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other legal custodial adult, and have a waiver of liability signed by the parent/guardian and on file prior to riding in any vehicle or participating in physical activities. The event will be held at the East Community Center in Littleton at 5933 S. Fairfield Street in the Gymnasium (and, perhaps, the Cafeteria, if needed). Please report at 8:00 a.m. on December 20th to Door #1 on the East side of the building if you will be helping with setup for the day. Report at 10:00 a.m. if you will be doing only the meal kit packing or meal kit delivery. We expect to be done by 1:00 p.m. For the stocking stuffer setup, report at 1:00 p.m. The doors will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for families to partake. A Christmas concert will follow from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Approximately 30 volunteers are needed for this day of giving.
