Program Manager 2

for the

Sentinel Program Leadership Team

to support the Sentinel (Ground Based Strategic Deterrent) program in the Propulsion Systems Business Unit at the Promontory, UT campus. Pay and Location

Base pay range: $135,100.00/yr - $202,700.00/yr Relocation assistance may be available. Travel: No. Clearance: Secret. Roles and Responsibilities

Support the continued development, manufacturing, and testing of three medium-class solid propulsion rocket motors (SRMs) for the Sentinel prime contract. Provide leadership to matrixed and multi-disciplined teams; initially focus on Nozzle development with opportunities to expand in other Sentinel Program Management Office responsibilities over time. Interface with program leadership and team members to execute design, procurement, and manufacturing activities; coordinate with VSET leads; share accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and technical execution. Collaborate with program functions to execute contract, finance, and operations tasks as needed to meet program goals. Support master program plans and schedules, identify risks, and implement corrective actions; manage milestones to ensure on-time delivery and within cost targets. Company-Customer Interface

Represent Propulsion Systems as a business unit and Northrop Grumman as a company in customer engagements. Serve the customer by executing the program and resolving issues in line with business objectives, strategy, and contract terms; manage changes in customer requirements. Balance interests of the customer, Propulsion Systems, and employees. Program Team Management

Coach team members, resolve conflicts, review performance, and initiate corrective actions as needed. Lead the Nozzle multi-discipline team to successful performance; coordinate program functions (contract, finance, operations) in Nozzle tasks. Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; set role and performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback. Support the program plan to meet critical milestones; manage master program plans and schedules; work with VSET leads to achieve program goals. Schedule Management

Understand and manage the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and interface with operations to meet milestones; ensure performance to IMS and milestones. Financial Performance

Manage budgets, update monthly performance reviews for program leadership, and forecast financial performance. Collaborate with VSET and Nozzle team members to meet program cost goals. Contract Structure & Pricing

Assist in contract negotiations; endorse final price and contract terms; help resolve contract issues as needed. Facilitate generation of contract change estimates and proposals in response to customer and program needs. Technical Performance

Drive technical excellence by setting program standards, balancing risk, and delivering performance. Business Development

Execute to develop Propulsion System’s image of delivering on-time and on-cost; leverage existing scope to win new content. Qualifications

Basic Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, or related technical field (preferred); or Business with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s with 6+ years; or 4 years with PhD. Required Qualifications

5+ years’ experience leading organizations/projects with multiple disciplines. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve a common objective. U.S. citizen and ability to obtain/hold a Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Nozzle design, development, and manufacturing. Understanding of customer requirements technically and financially to meet needs. Relevant experience at various levels of responsibility. Experience managing $10M - $50M in sales annually (preferred). Position Benefits

Salary information: Base range is $135,100.00 - $202,700.00.
