Position Information Position Overview

The Solution Executive, Clinical Staff Development, will be responsible for new sales of HealthStream’s portfolio of Clinical Staff Development solutions, acting as the clinical sales expert. The role involves complex solution sales by expanding product market share through insight, expertise, and evangelism of the value proposition of assigned products. Through consultative selling, the Solution Executive will align customers’ clinical and business needs with HealthStream’s Competency solutions by building relationships and credibility with key stakeholders. You will manage all elements of the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, positioning, demonstrating, objection handling, and contract negotiation through sale closure to meet or exceed quota.

Key Responsibilities

Adhere to HealthStream security policies, procedures, and training.

Analyze market opportunity within existing and prospect accounts.

Acquire deep knowledge of solution components, features, functionality, and benefits.

Collaborate with Account Managers to create and execute a sales strategy for the portfolio to help customers meet clinical goals.

Devise and execute plans to target and unseat competitors.

Present and demonstrate the value proposition and ROI of assigned solutions via Teams/WebEx and in person as appropriate.

Create and execute an annual business plan aligned with monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas.

Achieve Product Certification for assigned solutions through HealthStream’s Product Certification Program.

Qualifications Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher required; nursing degree (BSN) preferred.

Consultative selling experience with at least 5 years in healthcare sales in competitive environments; PaaS/SaaS experience preferred.

Deep knowledge of the healthcare marketplace, buying cycles, trends, and budget considerations.

Strong presentation skills and executive presence.

Excellent communication skills with ability to develop C-suite and VP relationships.

High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work independently or in a team selling environment.

Multi-tasking with urgency and a drive for excellence.

Ability to travel 25-40%.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills both internally and externally.

Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Ability to create and report data analytics using Excel and PowerPoint.

Proficient in MS Teams/WebEx; a team player with a positive attitude.

Hunter/Closer, consultative sales style; strong follow-up skills.

Accountability for personal success and commitment to self-development.

High emotional intelligence and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

Ability to manage long sales cycles and forecast sales funnel accurately.

Ability to articulate HealthStream’s value proposition with passion and relevance to healthcare budgeting constraints.
