Job Summary: The Georgia Gwinnett College Office of Student Life (OSL) promotes a supportive, creative learning environment by developing campus community through high quality student-centered programs and services. The Student Center is looking for energetic students to assist with event support and setup for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs).
Responsibilities
Assist with setups of meeting and event spaces in the Student Center as requested by the Get Involved event registration process.
Assist with daily event support, including resetting meeting rooms, checking out event equipment, assisting with reservations, and maintaining awareness of daily event schedules.
Reset furniture in lounge spaces, classrooms, and event spaces.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety in all storage areas.
Be responsible for department inventory and warehouse materials, including transporting items.
Hang and remove artwork throughout the building, including the Student Art Gallery.
Assist with A/V throughout the building, including the OSL Sound Cart.
Assist with event décor (tablecloths, centerpieces, etc.).
Assist with holiday and monthly themed décor throughout the building.
Hang banners in various Student Center locations.
Work Hours Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).
Required Qualifications
Must have a Federal Work Study award
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College
Minimum 2.0 GPA
Must be in good academic standing and maintain good standing for the duration of employment
Must be in good conduct standing with the Office of Student Integrity and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment
Proficiency on Windows-based PCs and/or MAC
Good customer service skills
Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Ability to work with a team
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with people from all backgrounds
Ability to work well independently and on a team
Exceptional customer service skills
