Job Description The Quality Inspector II performs intermediate-level inspections of incoming materials and supports production quality by ensuring compliance with technical and customer specifications. This role operates with moderate independence, handles more complex inspection tasks, and contributes to the continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
Duties And Responsibilities
Perform inspections on raw materials and in-process parts, confirming specifications through measurement and visual examination.
Initiate and coordinate functional line test work orders into the manufacturing system and track them through completion.
Utilize calibrated tools and microscopes to verify dimensions and part quality.
Review technical and dimensional drawings to ensure conformance to requirements.
Document inspection results and enter data into the quality database accurately and promptly.
Identify and report nonconforming materials; write nonconformance reports (NCRs) and track them to closure.
Support and maintain AS9100-compliant QMS processes and documentation.
Collaborate regularly with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2–4 years of quality inspection experience (electronics or machining industry preferred).
Strong proficiency with measurement tools and inspection techniques.
Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and process requirements.
Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Axapta preferred).
Experience with MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-750, AS9100 preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data entry and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail, record keeping, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
This position requires travel of 0 – 10%.

Pay Range: We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. In addition to these components, our package includes health benefits that begin day one, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program with a 2 year look back feature.
The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Massachusetts, is $18.00 - $32.00.*
Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
