Team Leader , you’ll provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate our seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll supervise the front-line management of tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and help achieve office growth objectives. You’ll also be a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and development of tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives. Serve as the front-line manager and mentor to staff, ensuring work is completed on time with attention to quality and priorities. Lead daily activities, manage schedules and timekeeping, and coordinate associate workloads to meet deadlines. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Recruit and interview candidates for tax office assistant positions with support from district leadership. Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing community involvement. Prepare tax returns, as required. Escalate and address client service concerns and resolve conflicts related to scheduling and service delivery. Provide training and coaching to associates to align with service standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Conduct timely performance reviews and escalate issues as needed to the Associate Relations Center. Qualifications / Expertise
Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role. Experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns). Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexible with work schedule and assignments based on business needs. High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Why work for us
